Segment #1, Clue #1

You find yourself in a forboding yet comfy room. In it lies an inviting sofa, three ominous boxes, and a desk. [[Look at desk]] [[Look at sofa]] [[Look at boxes]]

On the desk, you find a note. It outlines the rules of some game that sounds familiar. 1: There will always be at least one box which displays only true statements. 2: There will always be at least one box which displays only false statements. 3: Only one box has the true clue within, the other 2 contain false clues. [[Look at sofa]] [[Look at boxes]]

On closer look, the sofa has precisely nothing special about it. [[Sit down]] [[Look at desk]] [[Look at boxes]]

In front of you are 3 boxes laid out on pedestals seemingly meant to showcase them. One, blue, one white, one black. Each have statements plastered on the top of them. All appear unlocked yet you think it may be best to read the statements before opening any. The blue-hued box reads, "The statements on this box are either both true or both false. This box bears a false clue." The white-colored box claims, "This box is white." The black-painted box states, "All statements on the blue box are true. The box with no false statements has the true clue." [[Look at desk]] [[Look at sofa]] [[Open the blue box]] [[Open the white box]] [[Open the black box]]

You sat down. You didn't find your sitting down to be particularly interesting. [[Look at desk]] [[Look at boxes]]

The box swings open, making a disturbing screeching noise. Its hinges haven't been oiled or used in years. In it, you find a piece of paper which reads, "The first 2 words of the message are, 'Happy birthday'." [[Look at boxes]]

The box opens quietly, revealing a a note with unfamiliar handwriting. The note states, "The first 2 words of the message are, 'Good job'." [[Look at boxes]]

The box is opened quickly as you lift it up. A new note is revealed. The note states, "The first 2 words of the message are, 'The first'." [[Look at boxes]]
